Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Kashna Script collects on kashnascript.com and in the Kashna Script app, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

Kashna Script is made by Kashna AI LLC, a New Mexico (USA) limited liability company ("we", "us"). Registered agent address: 1209 Mountain Road PL NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

Your screenplays

Your scripts are yours. We do not read them, sell them or use them to train any AI model. When you are signed in to Kashna Script, your scenarios are backed up to the cloud by default, so you can reach them from another device; you can turn cloud backup off at any time in the app. The backup copy of your projects is stored on our cloud database provider. If you are not signed in, or you turn cloud backup off, your work stays in your own browser on your own device and is not sent to us.

What we collect

• Early-access list: your email address, the date you joined, your country (as reported by our hosting network), your browser's language, which page or link brought you to us, whether you confirmed your email, and the consent wording you agreed to.
• Account: if you create an account, your email address and the sign-in codes we email you. While cloud backup is on (the default when you are signed in), your backed-up projects, their titles, the time of each backup and the type of device that made it (for example "MacIntel" or "iPhone").
• Purchases: paid plans are not open yet. When they open, payments will be handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (see below). We receive your name, email, country, the plan you bought and its status. We never see or store your full card details.
• Visit statistics: for everyone who visits kashnascript.com we keep anonymous daily counts only: day, country, device type (phone, tablet or computer) and which website sent you. No cookies, no IP addresses, nothing that identifies you.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app stores your work and settings in your browser's own storage on your device. A security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs on our sign-up form to keep bots out. Our fonts are served from our own website; we don't load fonts or scripts from Google.

Why we use it

• to provide the app, your account and cloud backup (on by default when you are signed in; you can turn it off);
• to tell you when Kashna Script opens and to honour early-access benefits;
• to process your subscription, send receipts and answer support requests;
• to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We will not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Legal basis (EU, UK and similar laws)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (your account, cloud backup, your subscription); on the basis of your consent (the early-access list and its emails, which you can withdraw at any time); and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and understanding visits through anonymous counts. Purchase records are kept to meet our legal obligations.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare — website hosting, the early-access database, bot protection.
• Supabase — accounts, sign-in codes and cloud backup.
• Resend — sending our emails (confirmations, sign-in codes).
• Lemon Squeezy (once paid plans open) — our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy sells Kashna Script subscriptions to you, takes the payment, calculates and remits sales tax and VAT, and issues your invoices. Your payment data is handled under Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy.

Kashna AI LLC is a US company, and these providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where data from the EU, UK or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) included in our providers' data processing terms, or on the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

How long we keep it

Early-access data: until you ask us to remove it, or until early access ends and you haven't created an account. Account data and cloud backups: while your account exists; deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account by writing to us. Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by writing to [email protected]. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, California law, or Türkiye's KVKK) you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Kashna Script is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders by email about important changes.
